Rabbitholing little-known & peculiarly named recording artist/producer Mr. Wiggles for this Chase spot I worked on with Ladman & Droga5 earlier this year turned up some fascinating connections. The track we used, “Fat Back Pt. 1,” was recorded in 1965, & according to sources features the guitar of a young Jimi Hendrix, as well as the rest of Little Richard’s backing band of the time. Also, Dee Dee Sharp was in the mix on the upbeat “Yeah Yeah Yeah” group vocals. I love this type of research & getting good ROI on my history degree! 😁
