I’m grateful for another opportunity to license Philip Glass’s music for Marc Jacobs’s latest Runway Show (and this recap video) at the Park Avenue Armory earlier this month. This time, the fashion brand chose “Metamorphosis 1,” taken from the 2024 album Philip Glass Solo, which features the legendary composer/pianist’s most enduring and beloved works, performed by Philip himself. Playing a small part in this ongoing collaboration alongside the stewards of this illustrious catalog, Dunvagen, Wise Music, and Bank Robber Music, means a lot to me.
