Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2025 Runway Show last month at the New York Public Library marks the fifth time in the past six seasons the fashion house has used Philip Glass’s music. Vanessa Friedman called “Knee Play 5,” from Glass’ minimalist opera “Einstein On The Beach,” “pretty much … Mr. Jacobs’s theme song” in her review for the New York Times.
Glass is a hero of Marc’s & a constant source of inspiration for the designer. To my knowledge, Glass has been a part of his work dating back to his time at Louis Vuitton. Having a small role in this creative collaboration has been nothing short of special.
